Glaze Studies
Layered ceramic glazes rebuilt as shaders, tested against photographs of the fired result.

Reactive glazes are hard to render because the interesting part happens below the surface: the way a thick coat breaks over an edge, pools in a foot ring, and shifts colour where it runs thin.
The study rebuilds that behaviour as a layered material rather than a single shader, with thickness driving both colour and roughness. Each test was rendered against a photograph of the fired piece and adjusted until the two stopped disagreeing.
